About
Tungsten Carbide Mining Products are subjected to very severe working conditions, against heavy natural odds. Here the quality of Rapicut products is put to real test which it passes with flying colours. Rapicut has introduced different mining grades to suit Indian Geological conditions. Our mining grades are designed to work efficiently in various formations like Granite, Basalt, Sandstone, Quartzite and even on soft formation like Lime and Coal.
Mining Products
- Modern Rock Drilling operations place ever increasing demand on the drilling tools.
- The life of Drill Tools depends on the right carbide grade.
- Rapicut has developed a grade for Carset / Cross bits, 4-point Bits, Retrac Bits and many other types. Each insert and grade is specially designed to meet stringent quality requirements.

DS Inserts
Rapicut Drill Steel Inserts (DSI) are brazed on Integral Drill Steel Rod to drill the hole for blasting. Rapicut has successfully designed and developed the grade which gives longer life, greater reliability and increased fatigue strength. Rapicut is the Market Leader in India for Quality DSI.
RE-GRINDING INSTRUCTIONS FOR DS INSERTS :
1. Check the wear on TC Drill Steel Inserts by grinding template.
2. When flatness on Inserts reaches 3 mm at corner, grind D S Inserts. When height of anti taper reaches 8 mm, grind D S Inserts.
3. If snake skin is developed grind DS Inserts.
4. Use GC46 J5VG/GC60 K5VG straight or cup wheel to grind.
5. Grind off frontal and gauge wear check by template.
6. Grind crown and provide clearance and cutting angles on steel body.
7. Inspect Drill Steel at regular intervals for abnormal
